Words From the President

It's been an exciting few weeks for Wichita and its surrounding communities.  Many got to experience near totality of the solar eclipse, summer came to a close for most of the area school children and headlines announcing continued community development streamed across local news outlets.

I’m particularly encouraged by the recent resurgence of activity in downtown Wichita.  Companies of all shapes and sizes, both long-established and newly incorporated, are choosing to call downtown “home” through commercial remodels and new construction.

There is also a wonderful beautification initiative in motion that will bring with it recreational paths and public park improvements.  Many of these updates will be completed in time to welcome an influx of NCAA basketball fans for a weekend of first-round March Madness games in early 2018.

And now, with plans to replace Lawrence-Dumont Stadium and buzz surrounding the fate of Century II, there is an undeniable sense of revitalization and innovation in the heart of our community.

The Evans team is proud to call Wichita home - and looks forward to another 55 years supporting local business owners with their commercial construction needs.

President
