To say that the construction industry has changed since 1962 – when Evans Building Company was founded by the team of John Evans, Harold Heinrichs and Archie Lynch – is a massive understatement. Drones, 3D printing and virtual reality are just a few of the latest buzz words to indicate another wave of change coming for construction as we’ve known it.
Last month, I attended Varco Pruden’s 2017 builder meeting in Phoenix, Arizona – which was aptly titled, “Spring Training: It’s a Whole New Game.” During the event, VP invited a variety of speakers to showcase the newest technology in the industry and discuss the importance of applying these concepts on today’s job sites. I can see how we, as an industry, must learn to use these emerging technologies in order to better automate processes, build structures efficiently and with more precision, accuracy and speed.
Also during my time in Phoenix, Evans Building Company was the proud recipient of two distinguished awards from VP:
35th Year Anniversary as a VP Builder
One Million in Annual Steel Sales
We’re extremely pleased to have such a solid partnership with VP, and look forward to providing quality buildings to our customers for many years to come.
I’d also like to take a moment to introduce our newest employee, Randall Rucker. Randall comes to us with 19 years of construction experience and has taken on the role of Project Manager/Estimator. He has a passion for BBQ and enjoys fishing with his wife and two children on weekends. Please join us in welcoming Randall to the Evans team!
And as always, please don’t hesitate to call if the Evans team can be of any assistance to you. We’ve already had lots of rain this spring, with plenty more in the forecast. We’re available to repair any roof leaks you may experience this season.
We look forward to hearing from you.
